HYTOPIA Worlds are digital keys that play an essential balancing role within HYTOPIA’s greater games virtual economy. Envision having a World as your access to a subset of creator tools, resources, and support within HYTOPIA. The free and fair distribution of Worlds to community members is complete. A royalty from the sale of each World helps support HYTOPIA development.

Use Worlds

Uses for Worlds aligns with our goals to support the growth and success of creators. Increasing Item Marketplace visibility, boosting game discoverability, decreasing platform fees, creating global content, and more are all ways Worlds can help achieve this.

Reduce Fees & Staking

HYTOPIA assesses platform fees on certain creator sales. Platform fee reductions may be up to 20% for World Holders.

The fee reduction obtained could depend on the rarity of the World. For example, the most common World could provide a 2% fee reduction, whereas the rarest World could provide a 10% fee reduction. The spectrum of fee reduction for a World would then be dependent on its rarity on the gradient of 2% (least rare World) to 10% (most rare World).In this example, a 5,000th (middle) rarity World would provide a reduction of approximately 6%.

Multiple Worlds could be used in tandem to achieve a maximum fee reduction of 20%. For example, if I owned the 10 least common Worlds, I could apply all 10 to my game/server to achieve the maximum 20% reduction of fees.

Holding or staking a World may be a prerequisite to:

• Sell and create global cosmetic content

• Sell and create lootboxes or other bundled products

• Sell tradeable content with secondary royalties

• Sell and submit content to the HYTOPIA marketplace

• Sell on-chain powered subscription-based products

• Be considered for featured game opportunities

• Receive game listing boosts or credits for game page visibility

• Access HYTOPIA game advertising systems to spend TOPIA

• Receive occasional, limited, cosmetic, and loot box drops

• Cosmetic crafting, and unique cosmetic drop systems

• Reduce fees by up to 20%

World Rarites

The aesthetic of a World randomly generates from traits within categories and various resource levels. This generation process forms a collection with a linear rarity scale where each HYTOPIA World is unique. Worlds with more common combinations of traits and resource levels are less rare, and vice versa. In addition to individual linear ranking, HYTOPIA Worlds group into one of the following tiers:

The resources and traits of a World are mainly aesthetic (Image), but Individual world ranking or the collective rarity tier (common, least rare, through utopian, most rare) may correspond to rewards or perks through use or when staking.
