In-Game Items

In-Game items are any items possessed & shown within the Player Inventory. In-Game items follow different formats based on their use case.

In-Game Item Types

• Utility Items: A flexible non-cosmetic item format to allow for unlimited customization.
• Cosmetic Items: A game/server-specific item format that provides a player appearance change and optionally utilities.
• Global Cosmetic Items: A global (works within most of HYTOPIA's experiences) item format which *generally provides no utility other than player appearance.

Creators can optionally give Global Cosmetic items functionality on a case-by-case basis
